Fire Sector Specific

This two day training course will provide knowledge and understanding of hazards faced by the Ontario Fire Service workers and is the level 2 training required to be certified after basic certification training. It is also a good session for those interested in learning more about special safety issues and concerns that fire/rescue personnel face every day. The topics that will be covered in the program are: Legislation, Section 21 Guidance Notes, Traffic and Vehicle Operation Safety, Respiratory Issues in the Fire Service, Slips/Trips/Falls, Ergonomics and MSD’s Specialized Hazards in Fire Response, Health and Wellness in the Fire Service, Specialized Considerations, Program Action Planning.
